Multipart Downloading
A technology used by IDM to split a file into several segments and download them simultaneously. This maximizes the use of available bandwidth and significantly increases download speeds compared to single-stream downloads.
Proxy Server
An intermediary server separating the end user from the website they browse. IDM supports proxy servers to bypass restrictions and browse anonymously while downloading files.
Dynamic File Segmentation
An intelligent algorithm in IDM that dynamically segments files during the download process, reusing available connections without additional login and connection stages to achieve the best acceleration performance.
HTTPS / SSL
Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure. IDM fully supports downloading from secure HTTPS sites, ensuring that your data and downloads are encrypted and safe from interception.
Batch Download
The ability to download multiple files at once. IDM's Site Grabber feature allows users to download all images, audio files, or documents from a website in a single batch operation.
